Cats of otterclan

Coffee brought her group of cats to the forest, where a large river ran through, near the cliffs. She named herself and her clan after the otters that live just downriver from them. They keep a respectful distance from the mustelids, though.

Cats in this clan have a rather wide range of fur types, colors, and patters, though short yet thick furred cats are the majority. They are stockier than the other clans, but not much larger.

The Territory

Otterclan territory is heavily forested and bordered on most sides by a cliff. The main attraction of the territory is the large, main river that connects all of the territories.

There's several caves along the cliffs, some haven't been explored, yet. One of the caves, known as Bat-ear cave, for the bats that live within, is a sort of hangout spot. There's a underground pool in it, and so far there have been no predators making it their home due to the moisture.

Otterclan's camp is upstream, in a cave hidden by the waterfall that flows into the river. There's several tunnels and caves within the camp, most of which have been explored and are used as emergency exists. Ones that don't lead anywhere have been blocked off as best the cats can to prevent themselves from taking the wrong path and getting lost.
Clan meetings are held outside of the cave due to how cramped it is, with the leader having cats gather around them.

Culture & Customs

Otterclan cats value community and are incredibly close to one another. They learned to swim in the sometimes-rough waters of the river that runs through their territory in order to catch fish when other prey is scarce, which now makes up the majority of their diet. Other than fish, they eat birds and small mammals.

They are somewhat fearless in general, but do have some dangerous predators in their territory. They don't have to worry about large birds or swamp monsters like the other clans thanks to their densely forested territory, but wolves, coyotes, and even badgers and otters are common dangers.

The yearly celebration in Greenleaf is held in their territory, in Bat-Ear cave. The cats use the underground pool to cool off from the Greenleaf heat. A very relaxed holiday compared to the others, mainly used to socialize with the other clans and come together.
